AcroYoga is a partner activity where we create shapes and flow through transitions. Brette & Jenn will build foundations to progress your skills. Expect to be challenged and connect with others! No previous experience or partner required, just an open mind and curiosity.

Excited to try all things acro? Amazing! First, let’s break it down. Just like any sport or practice, it’s important to create a solid foundation, learning the techniques to safely & efficiently execute a skill or pose.

Most skills and flows commonly use, or transition through various foundational poses such as bird, side star, star and much more.

Learning proper technique in these key poses safely builds our mobility & stability. First, being able to it low, slow and controlled, giving the confidence to put it all together before progressing to more dynamic movements, adding height & momentum.

Let’s take this time to build not only strength, but also communication, trust and calibration with our partner.

It’s also the best time to learn our role as spotter, when the risk is still low. Learning how to keep people safe early on, we can progress to more dynamic movement in intermediate or advanced skills, when spotting becomes critical.

Foundations in basing, flying and spotting will open up opportunities to gain the pre-requisites that many higher level classes, workshops, & festivals may require.
