Beginner Hoop
Our Beginner Aerial Hoop curriculum is designed to introduce fundamental skills and guides you through transitions and sequences to provide you the opportunity to move freely within the hoop. You will be introduced to the apparatus, body awareness, poses within the hoop and mounting.
Next Step: Repeat current level until you feel comfortable moving on. The next step is Intermediate Aerial Hoop.
Intermediate Hoop
Intermediate Aerial Hoop focuses on building upon basic poses and transitions as well as introducing new movements. Participants will begin to perform moves with fewer contact points on the hoop and using their feet, elbows and knees to hang from the hoop.
Next Step: Repeat current level until you feel comfortable moving on. The next step is Pre-Advanced Aerial Hoop.
Pre-Advanced Hoop 1
Pre-Advanced 1 hoop allows students to build upon their prior hoop knowledge while adding splits, inverted poses and becoming more comfortable with the spanset above the hoop. The primary goal of this class is strength building and improving body awareness to train and progress safely to higher levels of aerial hoop. It’s highly recommended students wear full length form fitting pants and a long sleeve shirt to protect their skin during this class.
Pre-Advanced Hoop 2
Pre-Advanced 2 hoop has a main focus of dynamic and transitioning moves, allowing for a greater understanding of how to flow between moves in the hoop. Participants will be introduced to a higher hoop height for part of the curriculum, with a focus on poses/transitions on the bottom bar. It’s highly recommended students wear full length form fitting pants and a long sleeve shirt to protect their skin during this class.
Next Step: Repeat levels until you feel comfortable moving on. The next step is Advanced Aerial Hoop.
Advanced Hoop
This class is designed for students who are confident with the intermediate and pre-advanced skills, especially those at the top of the hoop. This class is constantly evolving to focus student skill levels on certain aspects of aerial hoop such as rolls, span set work, flexibility or strength based skills. Participates will also be introduced to choreography and assisted to create their own flow.
