Brianna
(she/her) Pole Instructor
Hey, I'm Brianna! I love dogs, I don't like mayonnaise, and my favourite colour is purple.
I got started with pole back in January of 2020 and quickly fell in love with how versatile it can be, holding space for all bodies! I'm an avid dancer and over the course of my life have done ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap, hip hop, bellydance, ballroom, salsa, and even had a few years where I taught Lindy Hop (swing dancing). I also spent 13 years as a fencing athlete, with 5 of those being in the high performance track, and had the privilege of leaving the country to compete in some international tournaments.
Creativity is a huge part of my life (as you'll probably see from my constant crazy makeup looks I've been known to wear to the studio) and pole allows me to explore and express things I may not have otherwise had a chance to. I don't stick with one style for very long, preferring instead to ebb and flow with the creative tides and coming up with new ideas for showcase performances and choreo classes! I'm also working on getting into competing, including a past bronze medal win from a PSO virtual competition in the Level 2 Dramatic category, with the hopes to add many more competitions in the near future!
My belief is that pole is for every BODY and being a plus size instructor is proof of that. I do my best to ensure everyone who joins my classes is able to do something that makes them feel good, and cheer them on for every milestone! Coupled with my background as an athlete, I understand how to train and work and see progress and I'm happy to be the one who can pass on that knowledge to others!
